OEM Sales Manager

TITLE:                         OEM Sales Manager
REPORTS TO:             Commercial Director
BASED AT:                  Harken Italy - Limido Comasco (Como)
CONTRACT:                 Full time
TRAVELLING:              Extensive travelling (50% of the time)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Search new potential OEM customers.
  • Be accountable on selling all Harken products on OEM Channel.
  • Plan how to establish and maintain profitable OEM account and meet personal sales targets within the full line of products or combination of products.
  • Establishes and builds strong client relationships (key Customers, Boat Builders,…) that allow for continuity and ongoing representation reinforced by sales support/delivery programs, and communications.
  • Define and update budget, forecast and results.
  • Participate with Sales Executives and Sales management, in development of sales strategies for OEM Accounts; helps identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the organization-wide strategy.
  • Monitor competitor activity in each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.

Knowledge Requirements and skills

  • Strong track record of selling experience (at least 5 years)
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Strong Technical background and understanding and curiosity in mechanical products is mandatory
  • Sailing experiences is mandatory
  • Marine market knowledge and industry background
  • Knowledge of structuring sales quote goals and revenue expectations.
  • Ability to facilitate teamwork, empower and motivate people
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Very Fluent English Language written and spoken is mandatory, French will be a plus.
  • The candidate will have an outstanding interpersonal communication (oral and written)
  • She/He will be Innovative, with a thinking “out of the box” approach, proactive and with a hi level of energy and stress tolerance.
  • Strong leadership, very hi level of self organization, autonomy, will complete the profile.
