Class History
Whenever a one-design class lasts more than 65 years and continues to grow, there has to be a good reason. With the 210 class it's simple. Ray Hunt's pace-setting design is as cutting-edge today as it was when it came off the drawing board. With its 5:1 length to beam ratio, low displacement-to-length ratio, hard chines and streamlined fin and bulb keel, the 210 is as state-of-the-art as any of today's racing machines.
There is usually a down side to boats that are performance racers—discomfort. Not so in a 210 which has a large cockpit with comfortable bench seats. When it blows, hiking is 'feet in', providing high-level performance without sacrificing comfort. The 210 is sleek, fast, and competitive and continues to be a challenging racer as well as a satisfying day sailor.
