Industrial Customer Account Specialist

TITLE: Industrial Customer Account Specialist
REPORTS TO: Industrial Manager
BASED AT: Harken, Inc., Pewaukee, WI
STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn Harken's Manufacturing and Industrial product line and Manufacturing Contract Customers in order to respond to customer inquiries and promote products
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Sales support
  • Prepare potential customer quotations and RFP/RFQ using Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Enter and monitor customer orders by utilizing Harken's MRP system
  • Expedite customer orders by working with internal departments; including purchasing, accounting, shipping and production
  • Work closely with Export Specialist on international orders to ensure a clear understanding of customer requirements, special international freight processes and sales terms (INCOTERMS)
  • Gather, analyze and share customer technical information and feedback
  • Respond to assigned customers by phone, fax, and email within 24 hours.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and feedback regarding products, services, delivery dates and pricing
  • Collaborate with Industrial Division Manager and pricing leader to update and maintain customer parts and price lists annually
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining customer account contact and shipping information
  • Manage and submit government quoting, bids, and contracts
  • Assist Industrial sales reps/managers with misc. projects
  • Maintain up to date list of global dealers and distributors - for Sharepoint, website and catalogue
  • Distribute sales inquiries from the website to the correct contacts. Respond to inquiries from the UK.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. An associate's degree and a minimum of two years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to function in a team environment
  • Manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining superior attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills required. Microsoft Excel, Word and Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge, a plus
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher
  • Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, feel or handle objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Must be able to walk or stand on concrete for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to focus
